Currently more than 700 Victorians are in hospital with the virus, including 128 in intensive care.

As of today, 80.4 per cent of eligible residents aged 16 and over have been fully vaccinated against the virus, while 92.5 per cent have had one dose of a vaccine.

The state has reached the 80 per cent milestone just over a day since restrictions eased in line with the 80 per cent mark on the state government’s roadmap to reopening.

Advice for Halloween

The state government has released advice for families celebrating Halloween today, noting that children aged under 12 are not vaccinated so being aware of COVID-19 principles is important.

Trick-or-treaters are advised to stay outside of homes, keep their distance and clean their hands.

Health advice is that homes should only offer individually wrapped treats.
