One person has been killed and another is critically injured after a suspected hit-and-run in Carrum Downs, Melbourne.
Initially it was believed two cars had been involved in a crash just after 7am, closing off Hall Road.
However, 9News understands a red Holden struck a group of workers near the corner of Hall Road and Lats Avenue at 7.15am.

The driver – believed to be of Caucasian appearance and aged in his 30s – abandoned the car and victims before getting into a black Hyundai SUV.
It was last seen heading eastbound on Ballerto Road at 7.45am.

Hall Road has been closed in both directions.
The air ambulance has been called to the scene.
